Information you provide

Tako stores the account information you submit, including your name and email address. It also stores your learning preferences, interests, conversation transcripts, grounded feedback, useful words, practice history, and progress observations so the product can provide its core experience.

Live voice processing

Your microphone audio is sent during a live conversation to Google for voice and AI processing. Tako does not store raw microphone audio on its own server. Transcripts and feedback from the conversation may be stored in your account for review and progress.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, Tako receives the basic account details needed to sign you in, such as your Google account identifier, name, and email address. Tako does not receive your Google password.

Why the information is used

• To create and secure your account.
• To run live English conversations.
• To show feedback, practice, and recent progress.
• To remember speaking pace, feedback timing, interests, and level.
• To diagnose errors and protect the service.

Service providers

Tako uses infrastructure and service providers to operate the application, including Google for live AI voice processing and the configured hosting, database, and email providers. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Advertising and analytics

Tako measures account setup, conversation completion, repeat use, and optional conversation ratings from its own stored product records. This helps improve the experience without adding advertising or third-party analytics trackers. Operational logs may still record technical information needed for reliability and security.

Retention and deletion

Information is kept while your account is active and as needed to operate or secure the service. You can delete your account and stored learning data from the Security & privacy screen in Account. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Your choices

You can change learning preferences, review account information, and delete your account inside Tako. You can also deny microphone access, although live speaking conversations will not work without it.

AI limitations

Transcripts, corrections, and speaking observations can be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on Tako as an accredited assessment or for decisions with legal, medical, financial, or similarly serious consequences.

If this notice changes, the updated date on this page will change. Material changes should also be communicated in the product where appropriate.
